The salon: Royal Oak has plenty of salons to choose from. If you are going to be in on the session, I encourage you to treat yourself to a manicure and new style. You’ll want to look good in that big portrait on your wall! The most convenient spot is right next door to our studio at Redz Barbershop. They offer kids cuts too!

A clothing boutique: Why not get a new outfit for yourself and/or your child?! New clothes are vibrant, look great and make you feel wonderful. Don’t forget to accessorize the kids! Cute hats and sunglasses are always cute for a few shots! You can also get something fun or funky for a different look. We always encourage different outfits for your kids if it is something you’s like. For the kids, check out these royal oak spots: Hullabuloo, shine.

The florist: Not for the flowers though… for balloons! kids love balloons and they are great for a portrait too. Plus, anything that helps keep the child happy makes for a better portrait! Local florists include thrifty florist and westborn market.
